Emmy Rossum is an American actress, singer, and director, best known for her role as Fiona Gallagher in the long-running television series "Shameless" (2011-2021). Born on September 12, 1986, in New York City, Emmy began her career at a young age, performing in operas before transitioning to television and film acting. Her breakout role in film came with "The Phantom of the Opera" (2004), where she played Christine Daaé, showcasing both her acting and singing talents. Other notable films include "Mystic River" (2003), "The Day After Tomorrow" (2004), and "Poseidon" (2006). In addition to acting, Rossum is also a classically trained singer and released her debut album "Inside Out" in 2007, followed by "Sentimental Journey" in 2013.
