Katee Sackhoff is an American actress, born on April 8, 1980, in Portland, Oregon. She is best known for her role as Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the critically acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009), a performance that earned her several nominations and awards, including a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. Sackhoff has since become well-known for her work in both television and film, particularly in the science fiction and action genres. Her career highlights include roles in the Netflix series Longmire as Victoria "Vic" Moretti and in the Star Wars universe as Bo-Katan Kryze, a character she voiced in the animated series The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, and later portrayed in live-action in The Mandalorian. In addition to her television work, Sackhoff has appeared in films such as Riddick (2013) and Oculus (2014), and she continues to take on challenging roles. Recently, she starred in the Netflix series Another Life (2019–2021), playing the lead role of astronaut Niko Breckinridge. Sackhoff is also involved in voice acting and has lent her voice to several video games and animated films, including Halo 3 and Batman: Year One. Outside of acting, she launched her podcast, The Sackhoff Show, in 2024.
