Sarah Wynter is an Australian actress born on February 15, 1973, in Newcastle, New South Wales. She gained fame primarily for her roles on American television, most notably as Kate Warner in the hit series 24. In addition to 24, she has appeared in a variety of television shows, including Windfall, Flight of the Conchords, and Law & Order: SVU. Wynter began her acting journey when she moved to New York City at 17 to study drama. She earned her first big break on the pilot of Sex and the City and later made her feature film debut in Species II. Some of her other notable film roles include The 6th Day alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bride of the Wind, where she portrayed Alma Mahler. Wynter married Dan Peres, a magazine editor, in 2005, and they have three children together. However, the couple divorced in 2014. Wynter has also been open about her struggle with postpartum psychosis after the birth of her twins in 2011.
